CIVIC VOLUNTEER ARRESTED IN CHARGES OF RAPE

Webdesk, TNI Hemtabad, 16th November, 2015: A civic volunteer was arrested yesterday here. The name of the civic volunteer is Hiralaal Burman (28). From the police sources it is learnt that the accused is working in the position for the last 1.5 years. On 13th November a housewife lodged a complaint against him of forcibly raping her. In the complaint she alleged that she was at her house at Chainagar with her son. Her husband and daughter were not there at that moment. Hiralal took advantage of the situation and raped her in front of her son. After her son shouted for help her brother in law came running. Hiralal warned of dire consequences and went away. The OC of Hemtabad police station Mr. Monojit Das informed TNI that acting on the written complaint Hiralal was arrested from Santora area of Hemtabad PS and has been produced before Raiganj court.
